It is known that in a convex \(n\)-gon (\(n > 3\)) no three diagonals pass through one point. Find the number of points (other than the vertex) where pairs of diagonals intersect.

10 magazines lie on a coffee table, completely covering it. Prove that you can remove five of them so that the remaining magazines will cover at least half of the table.

A family went to the bridge at night. The dad can cross it in 1 minute, the mum in 2 minutes, the child in 5 minutes, and the grandmother in 10 minutes. They have one flashlight. The bridge only withstands two people. How can they cross the bridge in 17 minutes? (If two people cross, then they pass with the lower of the two speeds. They cannot pass along the bridge without a flashlight. They cannot shine the light from afar. They cannot carry anyone in their arms. They cannot throw the flashlight.)

Several stones weigh 10 tons together, each weighing not more than 1 ton.

a) Prove that this load can be taken away in one go on five three-ton trucks.

b) Give an example of a set of stones satisfying the condition for which four three-ton trucks may not be enough to take the load away in one go.

Every point in a plane, which has whole-number co-ordinates, is plotted in one of \(n\) colours. Prove that there will be a rectangle made out of 4 points of the same colour.

On a \(100 \times 100\) board 100 rooks are placed that cannot capturing one another.

Prove that an equal number of rooks is placed in the upper right and lower left cells of \(50 \times 50\) squares.

On a board of size \(8 \times 8\), two in turn colour the cells so that there are no corners of three coloured squares. The player who can’t make a move loses. Who wins with the right strategy?

On a plane there are 100 sheep-points and one wolf-point. In one move, the wolf moves by no more than 1, after which one of the sheep moves by a distance of no more than 1, after that the wolf again moves, etc. At any initial location of the points, will a wolf be able to catch one of the sheep?
